MBR stands for Master Boot Records. this is veryimportant in the installation process for the doubleboot OS (ex. example on our computers anyWindows OS Linux ama). much trouble that occursin the process of installing double boot because the technician is not careful in doing partition to MBR.this can result in not diinstalnya OS on the hard drive and the severity of the old data is still there, could be lost if it had been a mistake MBR format.for more details to my friends what the Master BootRecords seh following my Master Boot Recordsshow understanding
Partitioning schemes Master Boot Record (MBR) (UK: MBR Partition-Style) is a partition scheme that uses the structure of Master Boot Record. In theMaster Boot Record, there is a partition table thatdescribes where the partitions are put in the harddisk. This partitioning scheme is only available inthe Intel x86 system, and implemented in thesystem BIOS of the system.
In this partitioning scheme, the partition is dividedinto three types, namely
>* Primary Partition or the primary partition, thepartition that can be used to perform the
operatingsystem boot process and store user data. There were only four pieces only in a
single hard disk. Ifthere is an additional partition, then the amount will be reduced to three
primary partitions.
>* Extended Partition or additional partitions, thepartitions that can accommodate multiple
logicalpartitions. This partition is actually one kind ofprimary partition. The numbers should
only be one piece only.
>* Logical Partition or logical partition, that partitioncan not be used to make the process of
booting the operating system, and can only store user data.Amount is not restricted,
meaning that in a singlehard disk may have a lot to have its main officelogical partition to a
single additional partition.
